How to connect your QPlay account in Ibo Player
Ibo Player has a slightly different setup compared to most other IPTV apps. Instead of logging in directly within the app, you activate it through Ibo Player's website — an extra step, but one that allows the app to work on almost any device and platform without restrictions.
The app supports Samsung Smart TV, LG Smart TV, Android, iOS, Firestick and Apple TV — making it one of the most flexible options if you use multiple different devices.
Step 1 – Download and launch Ibo Player
- Install Ibo Player from your device's app store:
- Samsung TV – Samsung App Store
- LG TV – LG Content Store
- Android / Firestick – Google Play Store
- iPhone / iPad / Apple TV – App Store
- Launch the app on your device
- On the start screen you'll see a Device ID (or MAC ID) and a Device Key — note these down, you'll need them in the next step
Info
In Ibo Player you don't enter your QPlay credentials directly in the app. Activation takes place via Ibo Player's website from a computer or mobile device instead.
Step 2 – Activate the app via Ibo Player's website
- Open a browser on your computer or phone and go to iboplayer.com
- Navigate to the activation page
- Enter the Device ID and Device Key from the screen in step 1
- Click Activate — your device is now registered and ready to receive your content
Step 3 – Add your QPlay account
- Select "Add XC Playlist" on the activation page
- Fill in the following details:
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Playlist name | QPlay |
| URL | Your server address from QPlay |
| Username | Your QPlay username |
| Password | Your QPlay password |
- Click Save
- Go back to the app on your device and restart it — channels and content will now load automatically
Tips
Your QPlay credentials can be found in your confirmation email or on your account page at qplay.tv.
Does Ibo Player cost anything?
Ibo Player offers a free trial period. After that, a small one-time fee is required to permanently activate the app on your device. This is a cost that goes directly to Ibo Player — not to QPlay. Your QPlay subscription is handled separately.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use the same QPlay account on multiple Ibo Player devices?
Yes. You can link your QPlay account to multiple devices via Ibo Player's activation page. Remember that you can only stream on one device at a time per QPlay subscription.
Do I need to activate the app again if I change device?
Yes. Each device has a unique Device ID and needs to be activated separately via Ibo Player's website. Your QPlay account can however be added to all activated devices.
Why are no channels showing after I've logged in?
Check that you've entered the server address, username and password correctly. Restart the app after saving your credentials. If it still doesn't work, contact our support team.
Does Ibo Player work with an M3U link?
Yes. In addition to Xtream Codes, Ibo Player also supports M3U playlists. Select "Add M3U Playlist" on the activation page and paste in your M3U link from QPlay.
